Awwwwww! I'm such a sucker for cute families. Stephen Curry and his dad Dell Curry were both working at last nights Warriors vs. Bobcats game. Obviously Steph was playing for the Dubs, but his dad is the commentator for the Bobcats. Dell must have been secretly rooting for his stellar rookie son even though he was working for the Bobcats. Family affair!

Holy Beard!
WOW....... this beard belongs to Clint Session on the Colts. Doesn't that thing get itchy and annoying under your helmet when you're playing? Sweaty, smelly, sticky... gross. Lets hope it is a good luck charm or something. I've heard of players growing "playoff beards" (they don't shave as long as their team remains in the playoffs) and I'm hoping that's what this facial mess is. He seriously cannot look in the mirror and think it's attractive.
I am not a fan of beards on men. If us ladies have to shave our legs, then you guys out there better manage those tangley whisker gardens. My boyfriend likes to have hair on his chin. I think it gets in the way. One time I "accidentally" changed his beard trimmer settings and when he went to trim it up, it magically took off all the hair so he had to shave the whole thing off.
Come on! I can't be the only girl out there who's done that right?

Boo This Man!!!
Ex- Warrior Stephen Jackson returns to Oakland tonight to play against his former teammates. He is a good player but has one really bad attitude. Like worse than Kanye interrupting Taylor Swift bad.
Jackson resigned a 3 year, $28 million contract with the Warriors at the beginning of this season. Too bad only 9 games in he was traded after some traitorous words . He was going around in all these press conferences saying how he wants to leave the Warriors, how he wants to be on a winning team, and how the Warriors management promised to get some new talented players but didn't deliver. Ok that last one is a legit concern. I have some problems with some certain incompetent Dubs management moves in the past 5 years. And a winning team? The Bobcats are 22-22, so they actually don't a winning record. I know that's a better record than the Warriors (they're 13 l-29w) but its still not a winning record. Being so publicly rude makes me dislike this guy.
And he better watch it because he is getting up there in age for an NBA player. I feel like a lot of these pots have been about aging players....
Punk.
Goodbye Kurt
If your going to be watching ESPN news tonight with your boyfriend like I know I will be, the latest news is that today, 38 year old quarterback Kurt Warner announced his retirement after 12 years in the NFL. Warner played for the Arizona Cardinals ('05-'10), New York Giants ('04), and the St. Louis Rams ('98-03). In 1999, he won the Superbowl and was Superbowl MVP with the Rams. Warner was also named NFL MVP twice, NFL Man of the Year in '08, was selected five times for the Pro Bowl, and holds countless records. Warner, a devoted Christian, also has seven children so I totally understand why he wanted to retire and spend more time with him. That and he is getting up there in age...
Warner is Hall of Fame material. Even though he had some inconsistent years, Kurt Warner is a great football player and should be inducted along side such greats as Troy Aikman, Steve Young, John Elway, Dan Marino, Joe Montana, Ronnie Lott, Joe Namath, and Mike Singletary.

The Rebound
...and I'm not talking about that guy you woke up next to the day after you got dumped. Rebounding is a major part of basketball. People at games are always yelling "get the board" which I found out means get the rebound. So the board is the backboard of the basketball hoop. Here is one of my typical girl mistakes at a recent Golden State Warriors game. I started yelling about getting the board every time my team took a shot. Getting the defensive board should happen every time and if it not its not something to yell about. But getting the offensive rebound is not necessary each time. When the Warriors shoot, it is more important for them to get back on defense than it is for the players to get the offensive rebound. They need to run their expensive bodies back to defense! But, if the other team is shooting and the Warriors do not get the defensive rebound, the other team could have a second chance at scoring. I learned to only yell about rebounding and "the board" when the Warriors are on defense.

Sorry Favre...
Yesterday, the Minnesota Vikings blew it against the New Orleans Saints. I was all for the Saints so I care about this drama about as much as I care about this. Looks like its back to Sears for Favre:
Superbowl XLIV (or 44 for the non Roman numeral crowd) will be the Saints vs. the Colts.

Warriors with 8 Players!
Monta Ellis is injured and the Golden State Warriors only have 8 players in uniform. In basketball you have 5 players on the court at a time The Dubs have only three subs. Some players will be in for a long period of time and probably not get a rest. Corey Maggette, Stephen Curry, Anthony Tolliver, Andris Biedrins, Cartier Martin, CJ Watson, Ronny Turiaf, and Devean George are playing tonight against the Phoenix Suns and Steve Nash....
I just love this video of Baron Davis and Steve Nash dancing:
