Goodbye Kurt
If your going to be watching ESPN news tonight with your boyfriend like I know I will be, the latest news is that today, 38 year old quarterback Kurt Warner announced his retirement after 12 years in the NFL. Warner played for the Arizona Cardinals ('05-'10), New York Giants ('04), and the St. Louis Rams ('98-03). In 1999, he won the Superbowl and was Superbowl MVP with the Rams. Warner was also named NFL MVP twice, NFL Man of the Year in '08, was selected five times for the Pro Bowl, and holds countless records. Warner, a devoted Christian, also has seven children so I totally understand why he wanted to retire and spend more time with him. That and he is getting up there in age...
Warner is Hall of Fame material. Even though he had some inconsistent years, Kurt Warner is a great football player and should be inducted along side such greats as Troy Aikman, Steve Young, John Elway, Dan Marino, Joe Montana, Ronnie Lott, Joe Namath, and Mike Singletary.
